It took me some time to discover (in my early twenties) that I wanted to be a painter.

But since then I need painting like I need breathing. Painting for me is something close to meditation, it leads me to unknown grounds in search of freedom. I need to have a lot of energy to paint, it`s not a question of being hours with a brush just for the sake of it. It`s the same kind of energy that one uses to make love, creative energy. Abstract and figurative are terms too rigid for me, what is important is to be able to produce something alive, no matter what elements you use.
